ImageOPAC is a multimedia product providing a powerful search andretrieval application to catalog and index digitized images, sounds,graphics, and documents. ImageOPAC uses true color scanning to allowphotographs, text, spreadsheets, maps, or any visual material to bescanned and recreated online. Scanned images and audio samples areattached to descriptive records to build a multimedia database and adatabase editor is used to create new and edit existing records.ImageOPAC's Graphical User Interface (GUI) incorporates windows, pulldownmenus and scrollable authority lists that allow easy retrieval ofmultimedia information. The system uses RDBMS to link to sound, graphicsand text files for complex Boolean searches, zooming, panning,reductions, enlargements, color map editing and image cropping. ImageOPACalso supports adjustment of volume, contrast and brightness. ImageOPACadheres to all international communication standards.
